Old Skin Shed- Literally Gone to Waste?

Every new experience we gain, is like shedding the old skin and out comes glistening a new one. Smooth, healthier and fresh, we step on ahead to face problems of old, with a better perspective on things. Lessons learnt help one move on, wiser, educated and prepared. When a snake sheds its skin, does it re-new its energy too? Because aren't we being revitalised when we scrub out the old and start with the new?

If we keep repeating the same blunders, or go about them in the same manner, then we are surely wasting time and the intellect that we've been gifted with! I feel that when someone chooses to be dumb about something, or act ignorant about things, which clearly they understand better, then they are simply abusing the brain they were blessed with.

Its like the words of W.L. Bateman, ''If you keep on doing what you've always done, you'll keep on getting what you've always got.''

So if we learn something, and know better, then exactly how much credit are we giving to our brain, by acting otherwise?

I like your shedding skin example, I guess it is alot like shedding our skin...
Easier said than done, but I guess it does bring out a whole new better and more learned us...

Thank you Ophelia :)

Lately, ive been very sensitive to the lessons of life too...

As for the whole new better and more learned us, thats all good, as long as we practice it too... thats kind of what my rant was about in the post... of how people in spite of it, carry on acting otherwise...
