In My Perfect World

There would be so much love…

There would be music in the background that would change in nuances as would the moods and situations. People would smile more; the kind that make their eyes shimmer and shine, perhaps even a wavering tear to add to their sparkle. Hugs would be plenty and giggles would come from deep inside of happy bellies. People would be honest and mistakes would be whole heartedly forgiven. Negativity would be unheard of. Everyone who had a heart that beat, a body that shared a similar science in its function, irrespective of its otherwise dissimilarity, would share space and oxygen, unquestioned. Flowers of all colours would be seen in every room of the house, and yes, even in the lavatories. Food would always be perfect, no matter what tastes were favoured over another. Shoes would never break. Perfect scents would always surround us. Anything foul or dirty would be unheard of because those would just be words in a dictionary of old. Soft cusions would decorate any area one would need to use while sitting and would remain soft and pristine in their being, even after much abuse. Lamps could be dimmed and blinged as the moment demanded. Mirrors would reflect our inner being. Anything we wanted to achieve would be possible and no one would tell you otherwise. Cocktails would be cocktails and no one would care if they were halaal or not, because alcohol or no alcohol, they’d be the perfect drink one would need - water not being discussed in the same category! Fuzzy warm slippers would be the required footwear inside all households. Oooh and Yes! Chocolates, Cheese and Caffeine, of all kinds, would be awesome for our health no matter what amounts they would be consumed in ;) Traffic jams would also be just a word in a dictionary past and outdated. Grapes would only be sweet, seedless and unsquished in their edible perfection. Nothing would be too sweet. Anyone who thought otherwise, wouldn’t, because it would be my world, one of perfection as I saw it in that moment as I wished it.

My life, my dreams would all be tailor-made…
