The Ultimate Test

Far away in a distant land,
No one to tell me how to stand,
Far away and miles apart,
Am I alone or is this the start?
The start to a journey
which must be travelled by all,
The start to a journey
which may have quite a lot of falls.

Should I give in to the pulls?
Or should I pull back?
Should I simply stand still?
Or should I attack?

Because the problems are everlasting,
the solutions not always apt.
The helpers are not many,
the demeaners quite a lot in fact!
I guess I must patiently absolve myself
to be moulded amongst the rest,
Step by step reach further ahead,
until I pass the ultimate test!
